Outcomes

Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd)

Goals
BEEd is designed to meet the needs of professional teachers for elementary education schools, who are generalist and who can teach across the different learning areas.

Outcomes
The graduates have the ability to:
1. demonstrate in-depth understanding of the development of elementary learners.
2. exhibit comprehensive knowledge of various learning areas in the elementary curriculum.
3. create and utilize materials appropriate to the elementary level to enhance teaching and learning.
4. design and implement assessment tools and procedures to measure elementary learning outcomes.

Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) 

Goals
The BSEd is designed to meet the needs of professional teachers who can teach in one of the different learning areas in secondary such as Mathematics, Biological Science, English, Filipino, Social Studies and MAPE among others.

Outcomes
The graduates have the ability to:
1. Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the development of adolescent learners.
2. Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of various learning areas in the secondary curriculum
3. Create and utilize materials appropriate to the secondary level to enhance teaching and learning.
4. Design and implement assessment tools and procedures to measure secondary learning outcomes. 



GRADUATE PROGRAMS IN EDUCATION FOR TEACHERS

Goals
1. Improve the capabilities of education professionals who aim to contribute to the continued improvement of teaching and learning
2. Develop capabilities related to doing research that will improve educational theory and practice in the many different aspects of the educational process

Master of Arts in Education
The program aims to:
1. update and enrich teachers’ content knowledge in their respective area of specialization.
2. enhance and expand theoretical and technical knowledge along their area of specialization
3. develop research capabilities for replicating, verifying, validating, contextualizing, and/ or applying theoretical and practical knowledge about the different aspects of the educational process.
4. support local, regional, and national development plans along educational, environmental, and socio-economic programs
5. promote environmental awareness through integration of environmental education across courses

Doctor of Philosophy in Education/Doctor of Education
The program aims to:
1. Formulate and sustain arguments about, and critically evaluate the established theories, principles, and concepts at the forefront of a specialized field of study
2. Extend the forefront knowledge by conducting original research or other forms of advanced scholarship of a level of quality that meets the standards of peer review and eventually merit publication
3. Interpret and critically assess new contributions to knowledge by other individuals, and communicate such interpretations and assessment to both specialist and non-specialist audiences.
4. Conceptualize, design and implement research projects for the generation of new knowledge and/or of new educational programs and systems, and adjust the project design in consideration of external exigencies
5. Generate informed judgments on complex issues in their field of specialization and its application, even in the absence of complete data, in ways that are informed by the ethical and social dimensions of the field, and be able to communicate their ideas to both specialist and non-specialist audiences
6. Support local, regional, and national development plans along educational, environmental, and socio-economic programs
7. Promote environmental awareness through integration of environmental education across courses
