Grade 12 Students showcase abaca decorative arts

The Grade 12 STEM (Canary) of the Catanduanes State University Laboratory School exhibited their Abaca (Musa Textilis) Decorative Arts at the lobby of the CSU Main Building.

This is in line with the National Arts Month this February pursuant to Proclamation No. 683 s. 1991.

The exhibit is part of their output in the Contemporary Arts subject in Senior High School Curriculum handled by Mrs. Zyra Mae T. Tumala and student teacher from the College of Education, Mr. Gener E. Alberto. The students were tasked to put their creativity to the test by making a ‘vase’ using our province’s pride, the Abaca. The exhibit will run on February 11-15, 2019. Art Enthusiasts and the public can own one or more of these as the vases are for sale. The amount to be collected on this exhibit will be given to the students for their time, skills and effort that were shared into making such masterpiece
